(FROM PET FLAKES & TEXTILE WASTE)

Our Technology: Production of rTEX Chips from Textile Waste and PET Flakes through Glycolysis-Free Chemical Depolymerization

Hybrid Raw Material Approach
MELTEX®rTEX product group uses post-consumer PET bottle waste (PET flakes) and textile waste as raw material sources. Depending on customer requirements, post-consumer PET bottle waste and polyester textile waste can be processed together at different ratios. Polyester textile waste supplied by our customers is broken down into monomers and oligomers through depolymerization using our chemical recycling technology, then converted into high-quality polyester chips through repolymerization. Our stakeholders use these polyester chips to produce yarn and fiber for new textile products, returning textile waste to the circular economy.
Verified Circularity
This approach supports the circular economy, reduces the need for virgin raw materials, and helps lower the carbon footprint. Recycled content is verified through GRS and ISCC PLUS certifications, and a shipment-specific Transaction Certificate (TC) can be issued for recycled content upon customer request. The environmental impacts of our products are comprehensively assessed and reported using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology.
